Wait a couple of months for a review and a price drop.

I'd also wait to make sure the "bugs' are out. Among other things the early 7Ds required recalibration and firmware upgradesto expose properlywith the 5600 HS flash. I'm sure the 5D had early issues as well.

Wait... schmait... I ordered mine the other day. But then I gamble, so...

I figure first bugs found (if any) are first bugs fixed. And there most certainly will be a glitch, hiccup, or cough somewhere. I'm sure they'll be standing by with buckets to catch any flack. You just hope all the parts are there, that the glass you got is a good one, as is the body doesn't that doesn't rattle in an obviously not-meant-to-ratle-like-that fashion.

I never really cared so much about being "first on my block to have one" whatever it was. But past camera introductions have left some buyers waiting far longer than they expected. The D200 for example, which still requires a little legwork to find, and the 18-200mm is STILL impossible to find after all this time. The A100 will let my Minolta glass stay in shape since they don't get much workout from my Maxxum film bodies lately.
