How hard is it to locate a Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 lens?

That's not lens addiction... it's lens affliction!

Newbie greetings to all.

Camera line up consists of 2 7D's and the wife has a 5D.

Lens line up is as follows:

Sigma 18-50 2.8

Minolta

18-70 kit lens

35-70 3.5 - 4.5

70-200 2.8 SSM

100 2.8 Macro

600 4.0

The Sigma and the 70-200 get the bulk of the workload. The 600mm was purchased early this year.I hope to get more time with it this fall.

Amazing how many people have more than one KM 5D or 7D

I talked my wife into getting the 5D so we could share lens expense. Regarding the 7D, the original had a back focus issue that Precision Camera could not repair. I decided to buy a back up when the Walmart deal showed up. I don't believe that Sony will make a camera with the external controls that the 7D has. That kind of camera may be a thing of the past and I wanted the experience of using such a camera to last as long as possible.

Funny thing is, I took the original 7D out on a boat trip last week and did not have any back focus issues at all. I kept the aperature above 4 the whole time and the images look good.

Now I can take both cameras out and not worry about switchinglenses. I will try this method at tonight's Redskins Ravens game (weather permitting). One camera will have the 18-50 for stadium shots. The other camera will have te 70-200 for shots of the game. Shold be fun.
