Here is a lady holding a beer bottle, about 10 feet away. Handheld in low light.
1/60 ISO 1600. The group present wanted to know if we could read the words on the bottle. This lens really needs a tripod, but with versatile camera settings (high ISO) you can get away with some hand held, even with this f8 lens. ![]() |

I think the lens can do better.
Those shots were (outdoor) monopod and (indoor) handheld. This next one is with a tripod. ISO3200 1/20. Focus set on "Phosphorus". Still I have a 60-300 f 4.0-5.6 that seems more versatile, and is a more practical range. ![]() |
