Hello people ,i made this grip ,but looking for inputs for improvement ,iam no woodworker this is just a prototype ,iam contacting a woodworker to make a better one ,so please give your inputs, it would be also helpfull if someone could draw his suggestions. This grip does help me a lot with heavy MF lenses !! so iwas thinking to improve upon it!!!So please suggest

Maybe a little gasoline and a match would improve it.
Better yet, the stock base plate. Have fun.

I think, instead of using the screw you have to connect it, a better way would be with a knurled knob tapped for 1/4-20 thread on one end, and the male screw thread on the other. This would allow use of a tripod without having to detach your grip extension, and also make removal of the extension easier and without tools.
