    There are some sites with online photos from pre-production 3D firmware now. Here's one example (and you'll see download links under the images):

    ... and IT WORKS! Update takes some minutes ...

    It writes (like Fuji Real3D W1) a JPG and a MPO file. Connect NEX5 to 3D TV and look it with 3D glasses. Picture is scrolled in FullHD (1080 high)

    This is a REAL 3D photo with NEX5 (left/right picture ---> mpo)

    Convert to MPO, save on card, insert into NEX5 and connect to 3D tv ... you see it 3D
