I don't like it on the close-up shots... It's still too bright, like a regular flash. However, it does seem to make a nice fill-flash, when you're further away from your subject.

Hi,
I have a nex-5 and have been trying to get some external flashes working. I have a yn 460-ii triggered by the tiny nex flash. I don't really like this set up as you have to mess around trying to block the triggering flash. Anyway, I would like a set up like this to use as a fill light. Can you let me know how you are triggering this? Thanks |

Never mind. Just realized this ring 'flash' is just a continuous LED ring light.

No, you can set it for FLASH ooooor RINGLIGHT
FLASH - full/left/right - seven steps each, RINGLIGHT - seven steps. Quote:
