Here are some more exposures from the same area as picture #1 / post #1 in this thread - in fact it's the same wooden pier. I love maritime motives, old fishing boats and other naval scenes.

The NEX-5N is gradually replacing my oh so beloved Nikon D300s, for which I have special feelings, as this Nikon is so perfect in every way - for me anyway. For seriouse work I will still use my D300s, but when I go for å lengthy hike - like this one here - I throw my NEX-5n bag over my shoulders and walk with much lighter equipment.

Yeah, thanks, Rui - you seem to be the only one who has noticed this thread. I must admit, this forum is a strange one. 605 visits to this thread and 3 replies only - and all 3 from you.
Now I remember why I left this place in the first place... ![]() Last edited by Walter_S; May 12, 2012 at 12:48 PM. |

Glad you didn't lose the enthusiasm to post, you have a fantastic thread here with stunning images
![]() That's the camera that let me thinking for some time when I was looking for a new one. Among so many doubts and hesitations, so many interesting cameras to choose from...my girlfriend decided by me and presented me with a sony slt a55, with which I am very pleased. But I do not know if I would eventually decide to buy the Nex-5n... what a fantastic piece of technology ![]()

Thanks for you comment, Rui! Appreciate that you seem to enjoy the pictures. Concerning your predicament (torn between your present (A55) and NEX-5N) there is not much you can do about this. Now, I would NOT choose the NEX-5N as my primary camera - never! For that it has too many shortcomings and things i DON'T like about it. Its all right as my SECOND camera, the one I always have with me, when I am not on a PLANNED photo-shoot. But it will NEVER replace my sturdy and reliable Nikon D300s - which I still think is the better camera (for me, that is...!). The NEX is o.k. and gives me stunning files, but it has been designed by engineers that do NOT know much about photography! Especially the one that cooked up the menu...! ![]() So, be happy with your A55 - which I am sure is a superb camera and probably will give you the same, if not better, files than a NEX-5n would. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Quote:
Hi, Marawder - I am not quite sure of, whether you are trying to comfort me (in a peculiar way...) or if you are only commenting my contradiction in a sarcastic way - if it's the latter one - I can live without your sarcasm. ![]() What I ment with the sentence that you are quoting, is that more than 600 people have looked through this thread here and have no opinion about it... ![]() Must be dull... |
