Default EOS lenses and NEX

Yesterday arrived my EOS-NEX adapter from China, ca. $ 62 = 42 with shipping.
It's well built, fits exactly. Depending of lens and aperture you get vignetting with small aperture,
but this is usefull for photo effects. Not fitting are EFS lenses.

For EFS lenses you must use "old Canon trick" to select aperture

Does AF work with the EF Canon lenses ? Is it fast and is there loss in quality ?
Would it work with :
Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM

No, there is no AF - I do not need it. Manual focussing is very quick with NEX. Even with tele (80-400)

Does optical stabilization inside lens work with eos - nex adapter? For example in Sigma 18-200mm as on photo in first post.

No, with adapter it behaves like a manual lens.
There is no connection between lens and camera.
