Default $40 Pancake 28mm 2.8 lens for Nex

Hey guys,
my first post here in the nex forum, got hooked when I had the chance to work with the FS100, bought a Nex 5n and am totally blown away, after some research I ordered the Industar 28mm 2.8 half frame lens from ebay, about 40bucks, the adapter 10 bucks and really love it. I also got the Sony 30mm macro and am totally blown away.
a few samples (incl 100% crops) and a short video how to modify the lens to allow infinity focus.

hope you find this post useful
cheers,
mike

I think that you may have paid too much for the Industar lens.

I love your blog post. They are all good in providing information for me as a potential buyer of NEX 5N. I thank you for your link. I will include your blog RSS feed into my banner in my learning blog. There is so much to learn from you.

I wonder if I can have a M39 to M42 adapter as I can use the M42 adapted lens in my Pentax system. Also I wonder with the screw converter from M39 to M42 mounted, whether the industar 28mm will still have issue with infinity focus. Many of the M39 lens adapter to Pentax K always have infinity focus issue and hence I stay away from M39 lenses before. I hope my next M39 lens will work well in my next-to-purchase NEX 5N.

Thanks again for your valuable inputs.
