From all the information I can gather The Tamron is smaller and a better fit for the NEX-7 compared to the Sony version. The Sony is larger but slightly better optically.
Would you agree with that?

I've no Sony 18-200, but I think it is good also.

Tamron is smaller, same photo quality (I saw much photos made with Sony), and it is cheaper. I am glad to have Tamron and have no desire for Sony

It makes no difference if you have lens T or you have lens S

Very nice photo's D.D. and thanks for all the work posting them.
I had a Tamron 28-200 on a film camera some while back but it wasn't this good.
Do you still have your GH2 also how do you rate the two camera's NEX7 v GH2 ?

Hehe, I have G1, G2, G3, GH1 ... noooo GH2 (I never had desire for GH2 )

Both - Lumix & NEX are veeeeery good cameras. All have (for me) most important features: very good viewer + tiltable display. Cameras without such things are TOYs

I'm always on the lookout for another camera but I think I would be lucky to have all you have without a divorce.
I was wondering how you rate the NEX7 against the others?.

On another note I spent some time many years back trying to teach myself German of a tape.
I found it very difficult and eventually decided the only way to do it would be to live in Germany for a few months, something I couldnt do.
I got so that I could understand an amount and could say phrases but I could not have held a conversation.
The reason I wanted to learn was that I had a friend in Germany that could not speak English.
We had to use translators. He and his wife were too old to want to learn English.Alas they are no longer with us.

Perhaps because NEX7 is new now it is my "top used" camera, but I also use Lumix, Canon, Samsung and others.
NEX7 is easy to handle, but I do not need - same for other cameras - 85% of all the features. I NEVER use RAW - it's wasting lifetime - my opinion - it makes no sense to take a photo within 1/200sec and then making postprocessing for 10 minutes.
NEX7 makes good pictures and if someone uses brain, he gets perfect photos out of camera. Most of my pictures are only resized (with free IrvanView).
