Will Picture Package cause my computer to reboot eventhough I uninstalled Picture Package? Does it leave something in the Registry that needs to be removed?

I try installing a mini-dvd in my DVD drive and when I do, the computer reboots. I have two different DVD drives on my computer and it does in both drives. If I insert a commercial DVD, it has no problems!

Thanks,

Gary

Computer reboots usually when CPU is overheated.
Can I presume that your mini-DVD is faulty and cause CPU to overstretch and overheat?
Unistalled software often leaves some registry entities. I think they have nothing to do woth reboot.

I have tried a couple of mini-dvd's and they both cause a reboot.

Probably mini DVD's you use DVD in your computer are not compatible. When computer tries to read from these disks and cannot get the information out, it stuck, overloads CPU and cause computer to reboot. You should off find a friend experienced in such a things to find a remedy. May be you have to buy new DVD for a computer.

I have got it fixed myself. Unfortunately when I tried to do a system restore to the earlier date when I installed Picture Package, it only went back two weeks and I installed it a month ago. So I had to go into the registry and remove all of the components of Picture Package in there. Once I removed all of it out of the registry and anything on the hard drive relating to Picture Package, I rebooted and tried my mini dv's - they worked fine on another software.

This software is JUNK! I highly recommend anybody thinking about using it to find another alternative!!!

Thanks,
Gary

Good to know you are fine.

So, before you have tried system restore utility.
If you can, find and install jv16 or similar to manage unistall and registry.
Cheers
