Default Cyber Shot DSC-S70 want to keep settings

Is there a way to save the setting you want instead of using the defaults. Everytime I turn off the camera it goes back to the default settings. I like to change the resolution but it will not stay. :?

I have a DSC-S30, which is the younger brother of your camera, and it holds the settings. Which settings are you losing? I just tried a few with mine...such as image size, focus, etc. and the settings hold. If none of your settings are holding, you might have a problem.....has the camera always done this? Or, is it a new purchase? Reply, and I will try to help.

Well the camera is my friends. We were trying to set the resolution at a higher setting and keep it set. His pictures are not real crisp. I use a Olympus 550-D and my resolution is high like 1984 something and our pictures of the same thing are quite different. Mine is very clear and his is not as clear. Thought if I could set his resolution higher it would make a difference. We did try that and the picture was a lot better. So I wanted to keep the resolution set in his DSC-S70.
Do you know how ?

With the selection switch on stilll:
1. Go to file
2. Then to image size
3. Then you should be able to set at highest resolution in a drop down menu.

Make sure you know how to push in the center of the navigation button to select a menu or option, push to the top, bottom or sides to scroll through the menus.

Hopefully this makes sense. Do you have the owners manual?

Let me know if you succeeded.

We seem to be able to change the resolution but it will not stay when to shut off the camera the turn it back on. I goes back to the default settings when you turn it back on.
