I just ordered a dsc-H5 and have read that it is best to leave on the included lens adapter along with a protective filter. I ordered a Tiffen 58mm Haze-1 as this seemed to be universally recommended. Are there other owners of this camera or the H1 or H2 that agree with this. Your input is appreciated.

Well, I don't leave them on my H5 all the time, as when using flash it often ruins the picture (I sometimes do macro shots in the outdoors with the flash on). When it's been appropriate, the UV filter that came with mycamerahas done it's job very well.

I absolutely love this model - for the amount of money I spent on the camera itself, it has been well worth it. I am currently searching for a telephoto adapter for my camera, but $$$ is the current issue. The default lens and adapters do work well together, though, and the quality of the images is excellent.

Hope this is the kind of response you were looking for!
