Went up to Red Lodge Montana yesterday to take our boys snowboarding at Red Lodge Mountain. While they were having fun, my wife and I went into town to get lunch and watch these extreme snowmobile stunts. They set up right in downtown Red Lodge with a ramp and the landing spot was a pile of dirt with snow packed on top. Three guys took turns jumping 25 feet in the air and doing things I thought only motorcyclists could do. A wild bunch they were!! There are some more shots here >> http://www.fototime.com/inv/7143355AFCE8949 Click on the first album to see all the pictures. These are maybe some of the last shots taken with my failing Sony F717. My R1 is due to arrive tomorrow. I am nervous and excited to get it. I hope I can learn how to use it well. Nicholas and all of you set the bar pretty high.

Wow ... R.I.P. F717; I can certainly see why you were reluctant to say goodbye to it. Hopefully your new "baby" will help ease the pain. Can't wait to see some R-1 images ... did it arrive yet?? Ria

It should be here sometime today . I know I will need to play with it for a while before I post anything. I may surprise myself. I will not go wait for the UPS driver by the front door.

"I will not go wait for the UPS driver by the front door."

Uh HUH ... Good thing I'm not in the vicinity ... wouldn't want to get struck by lightning!
