Well I am hoping for a followup to the H5...

Tweak the sensor and get the high ISO settings betterie no more desaturation of colour at ISO 800+

Tweak the lens coatings/sensor to reduce purple fringing

Add RAW, the Canon S3 has already been hacked to add an experimental RAW mode.

Add morebuffer memory and improve the burst mode, 1.1fps with a tiny limitis a joke, the CanonS3 can shoot 2.4fps with no limit on a fast card !!!

Tweak the algorithms or get a better processor, autofocus speed should be increased slightly and this would also improve focus in movie mode.

Maybe reduce the lcd down to 2.5 inches but keep the improvednumber of pixels plus maybe add a swivel ?

Add hotshoe or sync portat least to enableproper off camera slave use.

Minor points.

Usb remote control like the Canon S series would be nice.

Maybe think of going to 4 batteries, average joe will not put up with 8-12secs+ to recharge the flash.

And finally and most controversal, dump the memory sticks and use themuch cheaper SD cards ! (or dual socket like the latest Fujis..)

Agreed. Definitely don't need the monster-sized lcd.

Just curious...why don't you like the large LCD? It was one of the main reasons I bought the camera.

Sony just released info to the public last week on the new W and S series, no word on the H yet.

Many people regard the design as flawed since the LCD takes up to much room and cramps the other buttons resulting in accidental button presses.

You do get used to it eventually but Average Joe Public with 5mins in a camera shop to decide oftens goes elsewhere.

So even though the H5 takes better quality pictures than for example the S3 , the public tend tofind the Canons design better and more "fun".

And for the average public, fun and better in the hand sellsmore cameras than cramped design that needs getting used to and better pictures.

A 2.5 inch lcd that swiveled would be ideal, a good size plus the ability for easier low level or above head shots.
