I recently sold my old W5 which took great pics - thinking of the W70 or W100 but not sure. Occassional 8x12 but most prints are smaller - want something with minimal redeye and responsive.

Tried the Fuji F30 - great camera but the pics weren't as vibrant as those with my old Sony. Wonder if Sony has changed or improved their sensors - and what about redeye with these?

Any comments are welcome.

Hi, the W100 has over the W70:

1. Manual settings 2. 30sec min exposure vs 2sec. 3. Seven element lens vs six 4. ISO 1250 vs 1000. 5. 8.1 mpixel vs 7.2.

My wife has had the W100 for a couple of months now and find it a great little camera, very good at high ISO with ISO 400 good and 800 usable with a bit of noise reduction using "Noise Ninja" or "Noiseware".

Couple of available light images.

1.ISO 400, 1/40sec, f/2.8(hand-held):
