I was wondering has anyone tried eneloops in thier H2 as replacements for the sony 2500 mah's that come with it, or even just as extras?

I've just put some eneloops (2000 mAh) into my Sony H5. They were charged a few days ago, and show maximum charge on battery display, but I cannot yet comment on their use in the camera. They are supposed to retain more of their charge than many other batteries. So far so good!

I have used eneloops with my H1.

No different than using any other nimh battery, except when unused it keeps its charge for longer.

However since I recharge all my batteries every week or less and always the day before I plan on using the camera, I would much rather use standard high capacity (2700+) batteries, since they would give me more shots.

However for those who don't bother chargeing before planning to use the camera or those who store the camera away for long periods then eneloops are probably the way to go.
