I have been reading your reviews and it has made me jump to the next step from a compact to the Sony H9. I am waiting on delivery but I need some accessories can you advise on what memory card and tell me more about the Teleconverter

Hello All,

Thanks for the commets.

BellyMack:

Congratulations on your new H9!!

I got the pricey 4gb MS Pro Duo from Sony.

I have 8 CF cards for my R-1 and when I bought the H9 I told myself, I don't ever want to see the card once I put it in the camera. 4GB gives me about 1,200 images. I have no need to ever take it out of the camera. No more looking for CF cards, Fantastic.

1200 is a level I never would reach. I do download everyday of camera use on that day.

Once I create a DVD and copy of the images I will format the card.

Most users could work with 2GB for about 600 images. More than enough for 99% ofphotographers. I saw it at Circuit City by Sandisk for $39.99 I believe.

I would hold back on all accessorires except the HD Cord and the 74mm UV filter.

There is so much to learn with the basic H9.

You can always get the lens add ons once you know the camera.

Here is a link to SonyStyle's order page for the H9. It also lists some accessories.

They call the UV filter 'Multi-Coat Camera Filter'.

You can select it on this page.

Click 'Continue' to the cart and remove the H9 to leave only the UV filter in the shopping basket.

I just checked and it states:

"Temporarily out of stock. We will notify you by email and bill your account when product ships."

Here is the link:http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/EW_ViewExtendedWarranty-WarrantySelection;sid=crd9sm_8I8B8oSnLZgJ3uSDwoQZV gjQZJ6I=?WarrantyProductSKUList=DSCH9%2fB

You can still order it to get in line. Currently this is the only 74mm UV filter available at the present time.
