Are you saying that the lens cap does not have a strap that holds it onto the camera?

Hi Trish,

Yes, It has a strap but you can't keep the capin one place.

My photo in this thread shows the lens cap and strap that comes with the camera.

I did not want my cap to swing back and forth on my strap. Sony could have enginered a place to hook it but I didn't find any.

Nick, thank you for the answer to my question. I ordered the H9 and am supposed to receive it this week. I have to wait until next week for the UV filter as they were out of them. I just can't wait to get my hands on this camera. Thank you for posting your real life users review. I have found it to be very helpful. I also will try the velcro solution for the lens cap. I hadn't thought about it swinging back and forth and such. I was afraid you meant it didn't have a restraining strap at all. I know me and I would have dropped the darn thing in the ocean accidentally.

Hi Trish,

Congratulations on your H9. You will be very pleased you got one.

Glad you are geting the UV filter. I always have mine on except when I am using my tele lens.

Don't stple the velcro on the strap untilyou decide to keep the camera.

Nicholas
