Hello All,

Today at Merrick Pond, Long Island. H-9, ISO 80, f5, Steady Shot on.

No PP, direct from camera except Saved for Web in PS E4, also cropped 1" (72 pix per inch) off sides and top to get file below byte limit for posting.

To nickphoto123...I own a R1 and a P200...I want to buy the H9 and the A 100 with lens 18-200mm...thats why I keep watching this topic to be sure the H9 is a good one compare to the H5...The couple duck you just posted help me a lot for making up my mind...How far did you take that picture ?

Hi SonyR1,

I will never get rid of my R-1, unless it is upgraded someday. The image quality and the lens is top caliber.

At Photo Expo I found the A100 to have a very noisy mirror. I believe it would scare away wildlife.

I shot the ducks with my h9 at 68.4 mm which is equivalent to 408 mm on a 35mm camera. Handheld. No PP. It was ISO 80, f5.0, SteadyShot was on.

Here is another shot a few minutes earlier at full 15x, 465mm, handheld. They only had the one baby duck. He kept up with his parents, :
