Wirraway-

Here in Oregon we have very rocky beaches. Tullio, thanks for the tidepool photos. They are excellent.

My pleasure, Sarah.

Wirraway, yes, your assumption is correct. Beaches in N.Calif. suck. They are dirty, the weather is foggy and cold (most of Summer) and the ocean water is freezing. Southern Calif. on the other hand is much nicer. From Del Mar down South (La Jolla is located South of Del Mar) the beaches are much warmer, the send is clean and fine. We spent 10 days in San Diego last Summer and had a lovely time.

I keep getting hammered by rain so I am out of luck for new photos.

Here is another H-9 photo. That is the Tri-Borough Bridge with New York City in the background. It's not mine, but it is nice. Still waiting for the H-9 to arrive.

Very nice photo, Sarah. For a moment I was wondering if you had received your H9. This is a good example of the camera's capabilities. If all images from the H9 were this good, I'd have one by now!

Yeah, Cyber...where are you? We miss your pictures...shoot the rain from your front window. Hey, I spent 3 weeks in the UK with rain almost every day and I manage to take over 6 Gb of pictures.

As you can see, the rain did not stop my R1 from going into action!

Thank's Tullio and Sarah for the education on the coastline of the west coast, nothing like I had imagined, I thought there would be beaches all the way to Canada, never to old to learn. Good images again from you both.

My wife and I found thisTurtle stranded in the hot sun several months ago on a deserted beach 45min north of Townsvillewhich had missed the outgoing tide, so we took some photos as this was the first time I had seen one in the wild and then wecarried it (heavy)200 yards and let it swim away in the open sea.

Great photo Wirraway-

And a pleasant story to go with it. Thanlks!

Well, here is today's contribution from me:

It is the venerable DeHaviland Beaver. That photo brought back a lot of memories as I flew the beaver and I spent 32 years flying for Trans World Airlines, retiring in 1991 as a Boeing 747 Captain Check Pilot.

Will that plane fly me away to some of these nice beaches and coves?

Love all the turtle. starfish, cove, beach, and bridge photos.

I need a vacation even more after seeing all the lovely photos.
