Great photos all, I hope to be able to contribute some in the next few days since I will not be working due to the holidays. I have 6 days off to click away. :|

Nice series. Just out of curiosity, how does the 717 perform in low light conditions? How quick is the AF and how clean is high ISO? I have a R1, which I love. However, in low light it's a drag. That's why I'm going to givethe Alpha A100 a try.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your families!

Good Morning, Tullio-

What lens or lenses are you going to use on the A-100?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sarah Joyce

Hi tullio! first off happy Thanksgiving to everyone! in regards to 717 it is also a drag on low light conditions, pretty decent at a high iso butI think @ high iso 717 beats the 828,717 isjust a bit better IQ.,however, it isnot as fast as my 828, although if I would like to use some low light shootings I would use my Km 7d or my Nikon d50 with my fast lenses. Thanks again!

Hi Sarah, how's your cruise going? Having lots of fun and taking thousands of pictures, I hope! To answer your question, the A100 I bought will come with the kit lens. To be honest, I feel like I made a big mistake and might put the camera on eBay right away. I should have thought about the K10D to replace my K100 since I could use all the Pentax lenses I already have.

Thanks, optizz for the info. on the 717. It's interesting to see three cameras (717, 828 and R1)so different from one another. I don't think there is a real winner between them. Each has its pros and cons.

Nice capture of your pets. I took the liberty of running the cat shot through Nikon Capture d-lighting to brighten things up a bit. I hope you don't mind, Maple_Gunman.
