Hi All,

This hawk appeared and disappeared just as quickly yesterday.

I had my tele-converter on my h9. He landed in a Pin Oak tree, about 45' (+- 15 meters ) high.

When I saw his attack posture in my viewfinder I knew he would not be there once I took the shot. After this shotI looked up at the tree and he was gone.

PP was Levels, Focus Magic, Unsharp mask, crop to 4x6 and downsize forweb size.

Yes, some PF but I am glad to havethe moment captured.

The sky behind him was glary/cloudy and his front was in the shade of the tree.

Your comments are very welcome.

Nicholas

Nick-

That is a wonderful grab photo. A few blown highlights, but you got the photo. Good going!

Great capture Nick. The H9 did a very good job under these challenging conditions.

Nice shootin'

Thank you All, glad you liked sharing this fleeting moment with me.

This ability to share what we see in our viewfinders adds a very special demension to our photography.

I shot on Shutter priority I believe. Had no time to adjust exposure. I last left the readings as ISO 200, 1/640 sec, f4.5, +.7EV. I pointed and shot with these settings.

Regards,

Nicholas
