Hi All,

We attended our friends birthday party last night. It was a great time.

I brought my H9 without my adapter etc. Just the bare, smallH9 and my remote.

I was very pleased with its performance.

The boss of the house, Whisky was teased by his visiting friend Murphy. I of course, edged them on and these are my photos of their bout on the couch.

After the first 3 images, you will see almost consecutiveimage file #'s, which IMHO, show the effectiveness of the H9's AF, Fast Shutterlag, and pretty good Flash Recycling.

PP was Levels, Focus Magic or Unsharp Mask, Crop to 4x6 300 dpi, Saved as High Jpeg's for posting on the web.

*** Forgot to say, I eliminated 'Dog Eye' on several of the images, caused by the flash. ***

Regardless of what you may have read about the H9, this shoot proves, IMHO, that the H9 is a truly remarkable digital capture machine:

Very cute doggie pictures. How do you usually eliminate the green doggie eye?

Hi Mercurycu,

I used Photoshop Elements 4, red eye removal tool.

Didn't work much so I cloned an eye without the 'Dog Eye' to the bad eye. Then I touched up locally if needed.

How do you like the AF for this shoot? I think the H9 really delivers.

I was just going to post a thread about this -- real-life experience with the H9

I'm considering getting the Sony H9 and have gotten cold feet based on some of the reviews I've read indicating the image quality is a significant drawback.

I consider myself an "advanced point and shoot photographer", which is to say I like the convenience of an all-in-one camera with a big zoom, otherwise I'd get an SLR.

Just curious what real-life experience with the H9 has been.

Glad to see it's working out for you; wondering what other's experiences have been.

(I currently have the Olympus 550UZ which I like, but have found it has significant focusing issues)

Hello Argelius,

I hope you find it interesting and of value to you.

Please let me know your comments or questions.
