Default Sony F717 Wide Angle Lense

I was wondering if anyone has used the high grade, wide-angle (0.7x) lens for the F717? With the camera set with no zoom applied, do you get see any vinyetting of the image? I currently have the high-grade telephoto (1.7x) lens, and I notice that at the lowest zoom, vinyetting occurs. Also, I have been able to get good images from the telephoto lens, will the wide-angle lens put out good images too?

Thanks for you help.

I've been using the wide angle lens for about six months now. I haven't noticed any serious vignetting. Of course with the lens in place and the camere switched to conversion lens mode you are unable to use the zoom facility. Also you cannot use the internal flash as the lens blocks it. The same applies for night shot mode.
If you contact me at [email protected] I can go into more detail and even let you have some wide angle samples for you to judge for yourself
