Does anybody know how to convert the Sony multiburst pictures to animated gifs? I want to have the pictures on my computer to same way as they are shown on the camera LCD screen.

thanks,
pieter

Default multiburst converter

Hi!

Nobody replied to my previous message, so I wrote a small Perl script to convert MultiBurst images into animated gifs. The script can be found at

Hey, that looks really neat!

But, the Imagemagick link doesn't work, and I don't know what it is. Can you fix the link or tell me more about Imagemagick here? I'm interested in trying this.

Another way to make animated gifs out of multiburst images is, if you have Photoshop and ImageReady, just crop each frame out of the multi-burst image and make it a slide in an animated gif. It would provably be pretty time-consuming.

this forum has all kinds of solutions for multiburst photos. just like the others, I wrote a software utility toauto-crop the images from the singlemultiburst photo.

This way you canuse the images how you want. I'll have to check the perl script out becauseI didnot automate theanimated GIF solution. But it iseasy enough to import the images via folder in ImageReady.

Hi: you can also do it with the GIMP and a little script, take a look at:

You can do it in Windows with Windows Movie Maker or Windows Live Movie Maker.

Just drag all the pics to the story board , it will automatically line your pictures up according to name , right click on one of the files and choose select all. Then change the duration to like 0.15 under the Edit tab.

I personally use Sony Vegas Pro 8 to do this task now but when I first started messing around doing this I went the Movie Maker way.
