Very nice shots.

Your composition in #1 leads me to ask 'what does the underside look like', thus grabbing my interest in the image.

In #2, I am looking for a whole flower but as I look at your image, I then realize the grouping of 3 flowers, each a part, makes a wonderful 'whole'.

More, please.

Nicholas

I agree with Nick's comments. I also agree with your comment about the red flowers shot, they came out very nice indeed. Red flowers are extremely difficult to photograph. Usually you end up with a red blob. In this case, one can see the details on the petals. It appears that the flower was in total shade, which I think helped quite a bit with the exposure. In any case, great job!

thanks for your comments guys ,i think this forum is very good as we can get different ideas from each other across the globe. The comment from Tullio dare i say means alot as he is not a fan of the H9 as we know but he is certainly entitled to his opinion good or bad, that what life is about and may we all keep learning . I will try and look ot some more photos to post Nick are you still as happy with your H9 now you have purchased the Canon.

Foxcub, I have absolutely no brand loyalty (although I do have preference for some brands over others). I really like Sony cameras but, as you noticed, I'm very disappointed with theH9 performance at the long range of the zoom. However, I also acknowledge the fact that the H9 can produce very nice macro, full WA and up to about 12x zoomimages.
