Hi Steve,

I'm eagerly awaiting your review on Sony's T200 ultra-compact.

And it would be great if you give a comparsion on Sony T200 vs T100 vs Canon SD870 IS vs Panasonic FX-55.

Many thanks,

agp

Just got a new Sony T200 to replace an aging Casio Exilim S600 and snapped some late night, indoor photos. Wow are they awful. So noisy, blurry...my iphone takes much better photos.

did some research and it looks like the auto iso setting of the camera is pretty bad and it is taking some of these indoor shots at iso800 which makes it really blurry (see the diff between the Sony T200 and a Canon: http://picasaweb.google.com/JGFriedman/TestPhotos)

when i manually set the ISO to something lower it gets better but then they are pretty dark photos. Again, they are better but nowhere near as good as my canon 870IS. they are almost so bad I think there is something wrong with this specific camera.

Anybody else have these problems or were able to fix them? the whole point of a point n' shoot is not to mess with ISO settings when u want to take a quick photo indoors.

can't wait for your review Steve!!

Hi Steve,

Eagerly awaiting the Review on the same.

Divided between Sony T200 and Canon 870. Though 870 wins hands-on on every review. Still waiting for your review of T200.

Thanks.

I apologize we have not been able to get the reivew up before the end of the holiday shopping craze. We received it rather late and as you can imagine production is a bit slow while we take time out with our families for the Holidays.

Hi there,

I'm curious if you ever got the issues worked out with your T200. I really like what I've seen of the T100 without the touchscreen, but Steve gave a great review of the T200. I also have a Casio Ex-S600 and loved it until it recently broke. It never got great reviews but I always loved the image quality. I like that the T200 has a 5x Optical zoom and can zoom during videos.

Any feedback?

Well, it isn't just me then. My T200 is exactly the same. Very blurry photos: just awful. I can not recommend this camera to anyone.

Cheers
