Hello Everybody,

I was at Niagara Falls last week. I took my DSC-H2 digicam along. In one of the boat rides down at the falls, while I was clicking some breathtaking shots, water from the falls sprayed onto the camera. Immediately I put my camera inside the bag.

After coming back I wiped out the water drops outside of the camera and switched it on. The LCD flickered for a while and BAM!!!! it was gone, only a white screen appears now. So I thought let me take pics with the viewing lens on the top. When I did that I found the vision from the lens was blurry.

BUT, I approximately pointed at something and shot pics. When I loaded them onto my PC, the pics turned out to be fine.

My problem is with both LCD and the viewing lens.

What should I do now? Should I consider it as GONE Or is ther a way to fix it?

If anyone could guess the price for fixing this it would be great

Give it plenty of time to dry out and then check it again.

I would think that a month would certainly be long enough. I have never had that problem with a camera, but have dropped pagers, phones, etc. in water before. After removing the batteries I would use a blow dryer to speed up the drying process, then left it sit for a couple days. I put new batteries in, turned it on, and went back to using it.

Good luck.
