I bought this camera a little over a month ago on eBay and decided to take it with me on my family vacation to Maui two weeks ago (along with my R1). Although this model is about 4 years old, I was amazed by the camera'sIQ and DR control. I also realized how spoiled I am with the H1 image stabilizer and long 12x zoom. The V3 does not have IS, which means the photographer needs to take into serious considerationthe shaky hand that appears on the LCD whenever the shutter speed isslower than1/30, and ithas only a4x OZ lens, so I needed to phisically get close to my subjects. Now, once I got used to these limitations, Itruly enjoyed the camera. It's (somewhat) compact size allowed me to take it everywhere without having to carry a huge camera bag or end up with a neck ache at the end of the day. Of course I used my R1 forall my serious shots but nevertheless, the V3 served its purpose. Most images were well exposed with no blown highlights (even the beach ones). Sharpeness was very good and the AUTO contrast feature worked real well.

Here are some shots I'd like to share...
