Default Mavica LCD has gone Dark

I have a Mavica 92 model and the LCD has gone dark on me. You can see a little bit but not enough to know what your actually shooting. The bar on the top of the camera lights up when you turn the camera on but the backlight seems to have deminished significantly. Not worth fixing at $300 but I was curious if anyone out there has had the same problem. Once you get the pictures off the memory stick to the PC they look good.

Default Dark LCD

Hi Marty

Did you get your problem fixed? I don't really know anything about this camara. I have the CD400, that has a button for the backlight on the LCD. I have accidently hit this button & wondered what was wrong with the camara. Pushed the backlight button & everything was normal.

Actually I bought a Fuji 3800 and I love it! It uses the newest XD technology for storage. (have the size of a sony memory stick). I still have the camera but sold all my accessories on eBay. You can use it in the daylight but foret night shots or previewing any pictures you take. The Fuji cost me $277 which is half of what I originally paid for the Mavica. How do you like your Sony. Does it have a viewfinder?
