Default Mavica CD500

I just bought a Mavica CD500. I have some TDK CD-Rs that won't initialize in the camera. But i can format then in my computer, then the camera will read the CD and save to it. Is there a way to intialize the TDK in my camera or will I have to format it in my computer? By the way, I can initialize the Mavica CD that came with the camera.

I still can't intialize the TDK mini CD-R in the camera. But i can format the CDs in my computer, then use them in the camera. After shooting, I then finalized the CD in the camera and my computer can read them. So far, this is working and they are cheaper than the Sony Mavica mini CDs.

I used Memorex cdrw in my CD400 until it was stolen. I had no problems with formatting.

Not sure what you are encountering. I've used several brands (Memorex, Maxell, Imation, Sony) in my CD400 with no problems. I have read on other boards that they don't like the colored CDs so I've stayed away from them. Good luck.
