Default sony 707 dissappearing act:)

Hi:
The strangest thing sometimes happends to my sony 707 memory stick data. Sometimes i'll take a bunch of shots and actully review them on the lcd screen and everythings cool,,,,,,,,,,,then i put the stick into the usb reader, like i'd to thousands of others many times on a daily basis, and when i go to copy them there not there. If i then reload the stick into the camera again to view on the lcd like before, there gone as well. I am not a novice i'm a heavy user with three other sticks (64,64, and a 128) having not trusted the 16 meg stick because of this i kinda just stopped using the worthless little stick anyways THEN............ Yesterday i popped in the 64 meg stick and it happened on that one. We Have a problem here* I called sony and they said they never heard of that before, could someone respond to me if thats happened to them at all. I now am worried because if i take pictures i really feel are extremly important to me, i'll be uncertian every time untill they are on the hard drive and if there not i'm screwed. Sony told me to return the camera and the 16 stick and they'll look at it. That has "we couldnt find anything wrong written all over it" What you think people? any help would be cool. Thanks Chris J. J,
Saw the same thing once on card that had been formatted wrong. Pics where there while in cam... then gone. cards formated in reader can be done wrorg. Believe fat16 would be choice if using reader to format.
Good Luck,
Gary

try formating cards in camera, may cure all. only takes a minute, might just do it.

Chris,
would bet that you possibly have done a delete of more than pictures when card fails next time you use. use your camera to format the card. better than a 50/50 will fix.

Chris,
Cards working OK now? If so will give you one more thing so it does not happen again.
