DonalDuc - I admire your persistence in posting such great pictures taken with your new camera. It really shows that you are on good terms with it, that you are quite satisfied with it's IQ and that you are having a lot of fun!

Also I admire the beautiful surroundings that you so obviously live in, and this has awakend my couriosity of where that might be?

From looking at some of the landscape-shots it is quite obviouse that this is somewhere in the 'Salzkammergut' (the lake-shots gives it away...). Would you care to tell me the name of the lake...

...and the town...

...where this beautiful old house (Stift?) is?

Thank you for all the great pictures - especially the good food!

Pssst! You are weeks ahead of Easter and already eating easter-eggs?

Above is Schloss Orth, also known through TV-soap-opera "Schlosshotel Orth" with lake Traunsee und Traunstein (mountain) - town is Gmunden, the old house is Villa Toscana.

Thank you very much, DonalDuc!

No wonder I felt something was familiar about this lake, the surrounding mountains and the town-centre, because I have actually been there, Easter-time many many years ago - I think it was 1995 - when we (my wife and I) stopped over one night at an very oldfashioned Hotel Altmünster (I think it was called) just by the road in the suburbs of Gmunden (coming from the south on B.-strasse 145/120).

Very beautiful lake with the terriffic mountains in the background!

Thank's again for explaining and the information, DD!

I think HX5 also is a good camera - Iiiiii don't need 10x zoom & GPS (have enough 10x, 20x and soon 30x zoom) - I like TX7 because of small/small/small and inside lenses and excellent pictures. I always hated Sony because of memory stick, but now with SDHC it's okay

I only have ONE 512 mb memory stick for pictures with my Sony HC3 camcorder (using DV for movies, 1440x1080) - seldom used.
