I'm very satisfied with TX7 - always in my pocket. It has manual (touch) focus, an excellent sensor, very good video.

Hi guys , i am new here, and just got the HX5v yesterday.
Heres my windscreen fix. I used gorilla glue. and acoustic foam. doesn't look too pretty but works like a charm.

For big gusts I use my hand to shield it, but for small to average wind , it takes it out real nice. plus as a bonus keeps my finger from covering it up.

I do see some barrel distortion, but otherwise am amazed with the camera, esp low light shooting. Thanks for all the tips I have real on here!

These pics were not taken with the hx5. they are from cell phone, samsung rogue

I purchased the tx7 this week and I'm very happy with the quality of the pictures and the awesome video output. Just a note to potential buyers:
In Australia you get only the 1920x1080 50i 25fs- and not 60i /30fs
I'm sure this is only a firmware issue and can get changend with the US firmware (if I get my hands on it!) ;-) Maybe someone can point out a fix for this.... thanks

Ok I just joined this forum just because of DonalDuc's pictures. I was researching cameras to get in the near future and stumbled upon this post and aim thoroughly impressed. By the way I noticed that you were cutting the dragonfruits horizontally. It's usually cut lengthwise into quarter pieces with the skin still on and you just peel the skin off as you eat. One side is always sweeter then the other so maybe that's why you cut it like so but I've always seen it cut the other way.
