DonalDuc,

Does menu text on the TX7 appear sharper vs. the TX1?

NO reason to buy a camera for text readability - buy a BOOK :-)

921.000 pixels

230.000 pixels

OK I'm seeing double! Just saw this over on dpreview. Thanks you so much! It appears the TX7 makes use of roughly twice the number of individual pixels to compose the text vs. the TX1 I have right in front of me. Yes, I counted!

If the TX1 uses 3-4, the TX7 uses 5-6. This is the answer I was looking for.

andy-

The TX-7 is clearly an improvement on the TX-1 which I also own. I have continually been impressed by the TX-7 images.

Thanks. They are selling it for 379 USD.

Seems like you are enjoying your new camera. I hope you are satisfied with your purchase. I think this camera will meet my needs as well.

todd-

I agree with you. The TX-7 appears to be a real performer and many thanks to DonalDuc for graciously supplying the many sample photos.
