Here in the US, the Sony website says it is "coming soon".

Those images at your link look encouraging don't they?

Nice .. you never can have too much TXe ...

TX100 has an USB-in-camera-loader :-( ... TX7/TX9 has out-of-camera loader

As usual, some great images. Thanks.

Oh, have you had a chance to compare the same photos between the TX9 and TX100V?

Just wondering how closely you think they compare.

Perhaps I'll find time to do this - but I am no friend of comparing :-|
Both cameras are very good, TX100 is first small camera with 1920x1080/50p/60p
New also is OLED display with > 921.000 pixels - but you can also live without it.

a) TX100 has NO extern battery charger - only USB charger (in camera :-( charging)
b) TX100 has NO docking station (HDMI in-camera)
c) TX100 has NO printable manual - only HTML on CDROM and tiny printed manual (19 languages!)
printable manual < 30 pages you can download from sony-asia.
d) touch display is not as good as with TX7/TX9 - less sensible

a) Doesn't the TX100 use the same battery as the TX7 & TX9? I'm guessing you mean the TX100 didn't come with a separate external charger?

b) Is the docking station something that is really needed? Just wondering.

c) I like having a printed manual, too. However, I have most of the manuals in pdf format for cameras, etc. in my iPod touch so I always have them with me. Don't know how that will work with the manual in HTML form. How about the built-in, on-screen manual? Is it a good thing?

d) Dissappointing to hear that the touch screen isn't as good as the TX7/9's. Would you still say it is acceptable or not?

Great feedback, DonalDuc. Very much appreciated.

Yes, TX100V has same battery like TX7/TX9 ... today for test purposes I needed all three :-)

I never did use docking station :-\, I never connected TXxxx to PC or TV :-/

Yes, on-screen-manual is okay, I never will use it :-}

Touch screen is solala acceptable ... hmmm ... it is s.h.i.t. for video.

Important is quality of photo/video - this is excellent!

Video1 - 80MB

Video2 - 280MB

Videos are excellent.

Thank you for uploading them.

Question: what functions during video do you need the touch screen?
