As on my HX9v
I go to "P" then hit the menu and scroll down to you see "color mode"

that is where B&W is located

Unfortunately,B+W does not seem to be anywhere, nor does ANY colour adjustment...
Very disappointing on a "not so cheap" camera

exactly what is it you are after, for the Still, or video or both?

If you ask me I rather own the orginal footage then minipulate in software, rathr be stuck with a forced footage.

two ways one will want a b & W to color in for themselves.

It's my fathers camera- and he just want's to take pics in B+W,which he would prefer when taking pics of old buildings. He doesn't have a computer and would like to print pics straight off the card- though it seems like that's out of the question..!!
Just as a side issue- my Fuji J100 camera(which is what comes with me when I'm mountain biking- as it ain't worth nothing...lol) doesn't have B+W either...!!
