Default Sony HX9V Sweep Panorama question

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a Sony HX9V and so far I love it. I have however a question on the Sweep Panorama function. I want to take the really large sized 43Mb panorama"s, but although I have the "HR" function installed my panorama pictures don't get any bigger than 11Mb. Initially I thought it had something to do with the speed of my SD card, but I've upgraded to a Sandisk 16Gb "Extreme" (cat 10) which doesn't make a difference.

Can anyone tell me what to do?

Hey Torquema -

Welcome to the board.

Note the "43 MB" panoramas are "43 M Pixels" and the image is 10,480 x 4096 (42.9 MP ).

The image physical size in MB's is around 11 MB as you report and I believe it can be as much as 14 MB in size.

I don't see any problem with what you are describing.

Enjoy.
