Default f707 or nikon 5700

hi, just posted as well on the nikon forum, really looking for advice, looking for a new camera with great quality photos. i really liked the compact size and long zoom on the 5700, but the reviews for the 707 has me more than a little curious, my best photo subject would be my two little boys.
any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
thank you
lisa

Default Sony F707 or Nikon 5700

This was the same thing that I was faced with,I went for the sony because

1.Better AF in low light
2.Battery Life last 10 times longer than the nikon.
3.Camera Menu is not as confusing
4.Better image quality.
5.Carl Zeiss lens.
6.Night photography is fantastic.
7.No Hot Pixels (view Steves samples on the 5700)you will see what I mean.
8.Faster Lens.
9.Manual Focus ring.
Overall I find this camera better to use than the Nikon,I think its too clumsey!!!!.

The only downfall with the 707 is the memory stick, but thats it!!!!

You may not like the design, but personally I think its a brilliant camera, and the quality of the images is stunning.

Go for it you wont be dissapointed, but get yourself a 128 memory stick.

I hope this will help you.

I love my Sony and have had no problems in the ten months and over 40,000 shots that I have had it. From what I have read, the new 707s since about April haven't had any of the old problems like dark left syndrom and blue flash syndrom. My only other advice is make sure you don't pay old retail of $1000 for it since the 717 was just announced.

If you are interested, check out my gallery that is listed in my profile for 707 shots.
