I probably shouldn't ba answering this, since I haven't handled either camera, but to me it's not a contest. For the little price difference, I'd go with the 5.0 MP P92 any day over the 3 MP P8.

Agreed. I've used P1, P5, and P9. All very nice. So I imagine P92 is just as good.

From my experience, the P92 does not have a sport scene mode or fast shutter mode that may be needed with moving targets such as in baseball.It also does not have any manual adjustments for shutter speed. I'm not sure if the P8 has this option...I think it may have a sports mode...check out the specs.Youalso might want to take a look at the P93, P100 or W1. They offer some shutter control.
