now I am really confused....I have made

a MPEG1 movie clip from Dvix "Ice Age" with the

same settings as the original movie

clip taken with W1-frame

rate-25,MPEG1,640x480,audio

MPEG1,32kHZ,64 kbs,mono, and when I try

to play the clip, display message

"accessing" appears...and nothing. When

i try to shut down the camera, i cant!

Power is off, but display is still

working.....Now the camera works fine,

after deleting the movie clip from

card.
It seems it is impossible:roll:

Hmmm....maybe the magic will be really in that *.THM file....it's maybe not only preview screenshot......because it also contains info about camera, time, date.....I know I know.....this information can also contain a picture....but what about...if somewhere in that file is also info about clip....about length and so on....

....btw.....does anyone tried to ask official Sony support...? I know that's maybe utopia but why don't try it...?

Ive been researching:?
*.THM file is really only a thumbnail image. I have changed the extension to *.jpeg and i got the thumbnail of movie taken with w1 with following EXIF data:
File: - C:\MOV00033.jpg
Make - SONY
Model - DSC-W1
Orientation - 1 (top left)
XResolution - 72
YResolution - 72
ResolutionUnit - 2 (inch)
DateTime - 2004:01:19 23:20:13
YCbCrPositioning - 2 (datum point)
ExifOffset - 172
ExifVersion - 220
DateTimeOriginal - 2004:01:19 23:20:13
DateTimeDigitized - 2004:01:19 23:20:13
ComponentsConfiguration - 1 2 3 (YCbCr)
FlashPixVersion - 100
ColorSpace - 1 (sRGB)
ExifImageWidth - 160
ExifImageHeight - 120
InteroperabilityOffset - 326
so, THM is only an image in jpeg format, and basically it is of none importance.
Have you tried deleting the THM file of the original movie clip taken with W1 on MemoryStick? Without of THM file, movie can still be played.
So problem is in video or audio settings.

P.S.
