Hi guys just want to know if the W1 has a metal or plastic body.? In Steves review he stats that is has a metal body but everywere else i look the metal body inst mentioned.

It sure seems plastic to me, except for the front plate. It feels nearlyheavy enough to be solid metal, though...

I brought my W1 yesterday, the case looks and feels like metal, pretty solid to me.

No doubts, it's metal - cold on touch! Plastic is warm.

The battery cover and the memory stick cover look plastic to me, though.

Well, I looked at it again and do you know what? I still think it's plastic. My wife won't let me try to burn a hole in it with the soldering iron, though. She keeps referring to it as "my camera." I guess I need to get another camera for myself...

Sony states it is metal ecept for the battery cover,memory stick cover,USB connection cover, and the DC in .Tap on them you will hear the difference.
