I really like the specs for the Sony DSC-W1 but was put off by the review at dcresource.com in which very bad redeye was mentioned.W1owners: is the redeye THAT significant?

I have taken lots of indoor pictures at night using W1 with redeye reduction enabled. None of the people in those pictures had red eyes. There were a couple of pictures withfunky (non-red-ish) colors in people'seyes, but I think the cause was that those peoplewere out of the range of the flash.

So, from my personal experience, I would say that W1 is not bad, not bad at all in redeye reduction.

If you don't use redeye reduction, it's pretty bad. With redeye reduction, I've not seen any redeye yet.
