I am going to buy my first digital camera. And I want to know the following.

Can the sony dsc-p73 record directly to a vcr using its TV out without the onscreen display icons?

I am interested to know whether I can use this as an indoor video camera mounted on a tripod.

Thanks in advance.

I got no answer to this question I posted. Since then I have bought the dsc-p73. It is my very first digital camera.

So far what I have found out is that it can record to vcr since it has a TV out. The problem is that I can't get rid of some inidcators on the screen. Particularly the Auto focusing grids. The best I managed was to set a fixed focus setting and tolerate the focus distance display on the left bottom of the display (It is better than having the foucus grids on the center of the display).

Well I think I'll be satisfied with that .

Thanks anyway.
