Default Sony file folders

Is there anyway to use Sony memory sticks WITHOUT the file folders? My 717 automatically creates file folders for images making it impossible for my existing software to find the images?

That's an interesting question, I'll check it tonight as soon as I get home. But meanwhile: what software do you use that doesn't recognise folders?

I find that when one formats the memory stick initially only a ".ind" file is created - no folders. However, when one shoots the first image, folders are created. I see no way around this. However, I cannot imagine why your software cannot handle folders since they are just directories.
