How do the other V3 owners like their cameras? Anyone else have photos to post?

I should have provided the source for the discovery that the ISO listings for the Canon G6 are largely marketing hype (like many cameras) What has happened is that the marketing departments choose an arbitrary figure for the ISO sensitivity figures but (aside from appearing in the same order as film ISO ratings) they are not based on any standard (as film speeds are).
C'mon now Meryl....

The Canon is more sensitive than it's stated ISO speed. However, at anything above ISO 100, the V3 is less sensitive than it's stated ISO speed. So, complaining about the G6 ISO ratings in comparison to the V3 is like the pot calling the kettle black.

According to Phil's test at the link you provided, they both have the same actual ISO speed settings (measuring 100, 160, 320, 640). Tbey are both marked incorrectly.

Between these two models, some reviewers are going to prefer the Canon, some reviewers are going to prefer the Sony.

Different users are going to give more weight to some things versus others in a given model.

Everyone needs to decide what qualities in a camera are more important for themselves. Personally, I'd have no problems with a model like the V3. I've seen some nice pics from it, and users seeem to like it (which to me, is the most important factor of all).

This topic has been beaten to death. So, let's consider this thread to be closed now.

Lighten up and enjoy your cameras. :-)
