Taken last summer at Bastile Days, near downtown Milwaukee. Note the real tall people walking around the Eifel Tower.

How do/did you get an exposure time of 1/2000?? I can only get 1/1000 with my W12

The white balance in auto mode is unfortunately too blue tinted.

I agree with Nocontact.
Actually, it was a rather hazy day downtown with alot of vendors just nearby cooking, etc. in the closed streets.

On another note, how do you see my EXIF data?
Thanks,
Dick

This will be my first post on this board, but I couldn't pass by without commenting on how beautiful your daughter's hair is, Canadian. I can't recall ever seeing such a pretty color of red in my life.

I've been reading on the Internet about digital cameras since around 7 a.m. It is now around 11:30 p.m. And I read some yesterday and some the day before. I just can't make up my mind what camera to get. I think I've narrowed it down to a Sony DSC-W1 and a Kodak DX7440. I'm far from a professional and this will only be my 2nd digital camera. Of course I've read good and bad about both. Anybody got a recommendation?

Welcome.

You know, that's got to be one of the more anguishing questions in all of Technology; what camera to get.
I suppose it all boils down to what you want to do with it and how far you want to go.
It seems as though, many folks have a couple of cameras to accomodate most situations.

You just save the file and check its properties.
