The W5 also hasa lower resolution LCD than the W1.

Not sure if you could tell the difference though. If the price difference was minimal, I would probably go for the newer camera.

V8, Mark,
I had to do this. The mere mention of Beastie brings up this (and others, 26 in all) on my Mac.
Every summer, local artists get these 'Beasties' and have their way with them. They are then positioned around the city for the locals to ponder and some to plunder.
Here's one we all recognize:

Dick,

Love the colours, they are so vivid. Nice and sharp too. Check out the Yello Submarine beastie

Real good examples of what a W1 can do, it really is a cracking camera IMO. Keep them coming please!!!!

Cheers

Mark

how does the W1 compare to p-100? does anyone know? are the features and picture quality the same?

I can get both for around the same price. if the body is the only difference between them, I'd go for p100 cause it's slimmer. is there anything else?

kezs,
You know, v8griff is right on. Go for the W5. It's newer and has all the latest firmware upgrades. The price difference is so slight, IMO.
Anyway, keep in touch what you decide.
