Just got this camera.

I cannot get good indoor flash images. Occasionally one comes out OK, but usually they are very underexposed, or completely dark.

Same with auto and forced flash settings.

Have I got a setting wrong in one of the menus?

Or is camera faulty?

All other functions seem OK.

I've no problem with flash. Have you checked if the flash is really going off and if the object is not too far away?

Are you using Full Auto mode? Have you made sure you are not accidently putting your finger in front of the flashlight? I managed to do this a few times in the past :-).

Id like to add maybe if you may allow noise, bump up the ISO. Like 400. Small prints wont suffer. Dont leave this settingfor outdoors. It make clouds white out.
